How many days do you have? What’s your route? Whether you have one day to spare as you drive through on your way to or from the coast or you plan to set up camp for a month we can help make your stay truly memorable as well as valuable for our community partners.
If you’re travelling through Manica and you had planned to stay a night, why not stay at Ndzou Camp and make a necessary overnight stop a part of your holiday. Ndzou Camp is on the road between Sussundenga and Dombe, a direct route between the EN1 and the Chimoio-Manica highway. It’s a lovely route through agricultural areas and forest, though you do need a 4WD especially in the rains.

If you have two or three nights in the Province then we can suggest a range of itineraries to suit all interests. How about a night at Binga Camp and a night on the mountains taking in a circuit that includes Mt Binga itself?

If birding’s your thing, then we would suggest a night at Ndzou Camp, and then camping up at Tsetsera or a couple of nights at Binga Camp. If you’re planning to do Gorongoza, then why not drive on up to Caya and from there go cross-country along the Zambezi to Tambara, staying a couple of nights at Magamba River Camp? Fishing, river trips, birding and in time horseback safaris are all on offer. From Tambara continue towards Catandica and back to Chimoio or go on to Tete and beyond. If you don’t have enough time for the Zambezi tour, how about cutting across from Gorongoza to Macossa, and then on to Catandica for a trip up to the beautiful plateau of Serra Chôa? We’re working with communities in Macossa and Chôa helping them plan for hosting visitors.
